WordsRU - Book Proofreading

WordsRU’s professional book proofreaders and editors are available for all types of documents including the following:

WordsRU professional proofreaders and editors will give your book a grammar check as well as making sure it is free from spelling, tense and typographical errors. They will strengthen and rework your sentences to improve the flow and readability of your work. Given its importance in creating rhythm, flow and general readability, particular attention is paid to punctuation.

Rhythm is an interesting aspect in structuring sentences; long sentences with rhythm can be clearer and more pleasing than short sentences without a rhythmical flow, but there is no magic number to sentence length.   Sentences are often difficult to read not because they have too many words, but because of poor word choice. Often there are simply too many unnecessary and inappropriate words.

Our professional manuscript and book proofreaders and editors know that if a sentence is unclear after a first reading it is one that needs editing. It is not necessarily the number of words per se, rather it is the number of words that do not contribute anything to the meaning of the sentence.

Sentence length can be used as a guide but not as a rule — readability is always the criterion.

Please thank Tara for her good work! I have three publications on the market at the moment. My previous proofreaders didn't match Tara's standards, and I just wish I had discovered your website before... Tara does make my chapters look professional and I am hoping for my latest novel will be published when completed - Kind regards,
*
Robert
