Overview

Writing styles, standards and topics vary so widely that WordsRU believes the only way to ensure customers are given the best possible price is to individually assess each document as it is submitted. To obtain a price for the editing of your document, simply click on Detailed Quote and follow the prompts. They will guide you through entering a few brief details and uploading your document. A personal job page will be created for you on our site using this information, and all messaging between you, the administrator and your editor will be recorded here.for the insertion of brief details and your document upload.

The WordsRU Personal Approach to Your Documents

Your request for a price quote goes directly to a WordsRU administrator (or the chief editor) for personal attention. Price quotes are based on word count and an assessment of your document to determine what is required to meet your objectives and ensure a top-quality product..

The Right Editor: We focus on what needs to be done to strengthen the effectiveness of your writing. We ensure that the professional editor assigned to your job is a good match and possesses the expertise necessary to edit your type of document.

	Request a quote Click on Detailed Quote located at the top of the page or in the menu, fill in a few brief details, and upload your document. When you have done this successfully, you will receive an automatic e-mail ‘alert’ issuing you a username and password. These will enable you to login to the Web site and review the status of your job.

	Administrator issues quote The administrator opens each document submitted, confirms the word count, determines what is required and issues a quote with a message regarding the work.

	Make your payment You will receive an e-mail ‘alert’ asking you to log on to review your quote. Using the username and password you have been issued, login to the Web site. From your customer homepage, click on your job name and view the quote and administrator’s message. You can then confirm and make your payment online using either of our two payment options WorldPay or PayPal, via one of the nominated credit cards.

	Job is allocated to editor The administrator who handled your original request will assign your document to the most suitable editor with a full briefing about the requirements of your edit.

	Work is completed Your editor will communicate with you via your job page. When your document has been completed you will receive an e-mail ‘alert’ telling you that you should login to your job page where your edited documents will be available for you to collect and download. The entire process is monitored by administrators, as well as the chief editor.

Turnaround Time

Documents containing between 1,000 and 7,000 words are typically proofread, edited and returned within 24-48 hours. The turnaround time for longer documents will depend on your deadline.

Express Service — Fast Tracking of Jobs

A premium service surcharge will be added if you require your document to be edited in less than 24 hours.

Confidentiality

The client retains sole copyright, ownership and control over all materials submitted to WordsRU including any materials subsequently created or developed by WordsRU. Documents are automatically deleted from our system within 120 days. Further information on these matters is available on our Privacy Statement and Security Information pages.

Instant Estimate

Our instant estimate feature is only intended to provide a general guide for pricing. It is based on the word count and does not take into consideration the level of editing required. This feature is located under the menu on the left side of the page.

Payment

Payment is required before work on your document commences. Our payment service providers are WorldPay and Paypal. Both offer a secure, fast and flexible payment system. Currently, WordsRU supports payments made using Visa, Mastercard, American Express and the Paypal options. If you would prefer to pay by some other means, you may contact us to make alternative arrangements.

Document Formats

Although WordsRU supports a number of document formats, the standard editing mode is Microsoft Word, due to its tracked changes feature.

Your completed editing is returned in two forms:

A designated ‘marked changes’ format that shows all the changes that have been made to your document (including inserted comments for your attention);
A designated ‘revised’ version that incorporates those changes, which then becomes your latest ‘clean’ version.

Edits may be conducted in other modes including Adobe’s Portable Document Format (PDF), but Microsoft Word’s tracked changes function allows our customers the greatest flexibility in terms of either accepting or rejecting changes resulting from our editing and proofreading.

All completed documents are accompanied by editor comments on anything that has arisen during the edit along with helpful tips and suggestions.

Academic Style Formatting

WordsRU checks for compliance with academic citation styles for research papers, including APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, Turabian and CBE, among others. Customers should indicate the required citation style on the requirements field of the Detailed Quote.

Sample Edits

Depending on the nature and size of your work, a sample edit may be provided at the time of issuing a price quote. Samples may be provided for projects such as large manuscripts or doctoral theses, or when negotiating ongoing editing service arrangements with corporate clients.

Professional Editors

WordsRU’s online editing service has a team of academically qualified, experienced professional editors and proofreaders who possess the knowledge, editing skills and commitment to our quality editing standards necessary to help you meet all your documentation needs. The bona fides of our editors have been established to our complete satisfaction and after undergoing a rigorous pre-appointment procedure they enter into confidentiality agreements with WordsRU. Our editors and proofreaders will check your documents for grammatical, spelling, punctuation and typographical errors.
