Q: What is an instant estimate?
A: Our instant estimate feature is based on word count and a light proofread of a straightforward piece of writing. It is intended as a general 'instant' guide to pricing and does not take into account minimum charges or the complexities involved in academic or manuscript edits.
Q: I cannot upload my document to submit it with the Detailed Quote form. What do I do?
A: Be sure you have filled in each of the mandatory fields on the form correctly. An error message will display if you have overlooked completing a mandatory field.

Upload difficulties occassionally occur as a result of problems with a customer's Internet Service Provider (ISP) or Internet congestion, which results in time-outs. Waiting a short period before trying again will often resolve the matter.

Q: How do I make a payment?
A: Our payment facilities are provided by WorldPay and Paypal, which provide fast, flexible, highly secure online credit card-based payment systems. When your price quote is available, you are sent an e-mail alert. Login to the WordsRU Web site with the username and password issued to you. Clicking on your job name (document title) will take you to your job page where you can select one of the nominated credit cards or Paypal.

Q: Why do you need to see the document or manuscript before giving me a price?
A: We want to offer you a fair and competitive price so we need to take a look at the work to determine the word count and the type of editing required.
Q: How can I be sure your editors will do a good job?
A: Our editors are academically qualified, committed and experienced professionals who have met our stringent criteria for quality editing. Our administrators and chief editor assign each job to the editor who is the best match for the work. The edit is monitored by a rigorous quality control process to ensure timeliness and quality service.
Q: How will I know what you have changed in my document?
A: Your editor will provide two versions of your edited document. The first version uses the tracked changes function of Microsoft Word to show the changes that have been made to your work. The second version is the 'clean' revised copy that incorporates those changes.
Q: The document I want edited is highly confidential. How can I be sure that WordsRU will respect that confidentiality?
A: Customer documents are received and returned in the context of our Web site's purpose-designed, secure file transfer system, which ensures the safe and confidential transmission of your work, and thus avoids concerns about unreliable and insecure attachment methods. Q: How do I send you a different version or the latest version of my document after having already created a job with an earlier document?
A: Use the following procedure:
  1. Go to the site and log in to your account homepage, then click on your job name (document title).
  2. Click on the LEAVE A MESSAGE OR FILE button.
  3. Enter your message and using the browse window at the foot of the message box, select your file.
  4. Click on SUBMIT. The message and file will be visible on your job page immediately to you, the relevant WordsRU administrator, your editor and our chief editor.
Q: Do you check for academic style formatting and which style guides do you use?
A: WordsRU checks for compliance with academic citation styles including, including but not limited to, APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, Turabian and CBE. Customers should nominate the required citation style on their Detailed Quote request.
Q: What do you mean by "personal service"?
A: We believe personal attention to your requirements is a vital ingredient in customer service. From the outset your document is personally reviewed by one of our administrators or our chief editor, who will determine the requirements of the job, provide a price quote, and advise you of any issues that may need clarification.

On receipt of your confirmation and payment, this personal attention continues with the allocation of your editing to the WordsRU editor whose experience and editing skills best match your document and your requirements. The interactive nature of our online editorial service continues the personal interface with you and makes possible the exchange of messages between you and your editor for updates on editing progress, or any additional information or clarification that may be required during the course of the edit.
